Periana Architecture led the architectural and interior design, as well as the permitting, for this modern coastal home remodel in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The project transforms a dated 2,800 sq. ft. single-family residence into a light-filled, functional retreat designed for multigenerational living, work-from-home flexibility, and indoor-outdoor flow.

The renovation includes a 642 sq. ft. addition, featuring an expanded primary bedroom suite, a reimagined open-concept kitchen and living room, a dedicated mudroom with laundry, and a redesigned entryway. The layout maximizes natural light and hillside views with floor-to-ceiling glass, natural stone accents, smooth stucco finishes, and warm wood detailing, creating a timeless California modern aesthetic.

A future ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) with a private courtyard is integrated into the site plan to accommodate guest stays, in-laws, or potential rental income. Plans also include a custom lap pool, adding lifestyle value and luxury appeal.
